Why Dr. Manmohan Singh…

the excitement and enthusiasm has sunken since my last post that post has come from within. Really, this time i don’t want a BJP or 3rd front government. There was a feeling from within that BJP should first learn a lesson or two about India & Indian democracy & its people before claiming the Delhi. The people for whom government matters, who go their & vote in sun light, stand in long queues, gave their verdict in support of Dr.Maanmohan Singh & Congress not for  Mr. L. K. Advani or BJP. I am not a congress fan and know congress & Mr. Singh aren’t best and ideal but they were better option.

I have received a lot of criticism from friends colleagues relatives about the tone of the post. But it came froma heart who saw

- girls running in open and some rowdy boys beating them, pulling their hair

- rowdy & criminals with no credentials talking about indian culture & trying to teach people Hinduism

- politician talking about Hinduism and their rights to hide their inability to perform, their inability to deliver, inability to come with alternate policies

M J Akbar has written recently that India is secular because Indian Hindus wants it to be a secular country not because Indian Muslims wants it a secular country.

If Hindu wants India to be a Hindu Rastra or they believe in BJP’s future policy for this country then with 80% Hindu population,  BJP must have been always a single largest party after Ayodhya

But results are there for everybody to see. I accept that we all have bad memories from past, of brutal conflict, of massacre, of hate. But founder of this nation decided to move on and build a new country. A country where everybody live in peace & harmony.

There can be a long debate on all these issues and every country & culture has a history of wars & conflicts. But to all those who still believe in hatred & separation “Do you want your children & grand children to live in an environment like Pakistan”

As i have said earlier we don’t want to be a Pakistan! Do we?

Other than this, BJP didn’t promise anything new and 3rd front guys himself doesn’t know what they want for the country or even for their state, their region, their language. Most of the 3rd front politicians raised with help of politics based on division by caste, region, language or religion.

Best of luck & all the wishes for the new government. As Motu Mittal rightly  said in his comment on previous post “Don’t think India will be changed over night” but we can always hope for better.

No Extremist Please !!

Early result of inidan election shows that :

Development will be the first thing people have in mind

How can you expect vote while being against a Nuclear Power?

No Togaria & Muthalik Supporters Please!

A 18 year youth here don’t give an ear to his parents dictates then how can Advani Ji expect his vote while supporting Moral Policing?

No Drama about terrorism or national Security!
You need not be wicked & dishonest to be successful in Indian Politics!

Mr. Manmohan Singh Ji has proved that being simple, honest & intellectual can be your advantage to be at the top post!!

to be continued….

In Loving Memory of Amma & Baba

this post again originate from my laptop cleaning or better say disk space recovery. I have a mere 80 GB HDD :(

I came across a very short video of my Baba (Grand Pa) which was recorded by Bhola Bhaiya during his memorable Bangalore visit. And it brings a lot of sweet memories of my Amaa & Baba and my childhood :)

Both of them left me in last two years but their loving voices still echo in my ears, their caring faces comes in my eyes every now & then. Whoever i am today is because of blessings & selfless love of Amma (Grand Ma) and guidance & discipline of Baba.

My Dad passed away in a car accident when i was only 9 years old. I was too young to understand & realize the loss :( My dad was the eldest son in the family and a public figure. People used to admire him and looked upon him as a budding politician with good links in the state.

After his departure life has changed up side down for me. Baba & Amma never let us (me & my younger brother Shaishav) away from their eyes for a moment. We were their life and hope to live. I was Baba’s boy and my younger brother Shaishav was Amma’s dear son. I started sleeping beside Baba. He had a strict schedule of waking up early in the morning and going for a long walk to our fields & orchard in the nearby village with our black Doggy ‘Kalu’ . And i had to adhere with it :( I used to sleep beside Papa and he used to woke me up in the morning with his rough bearded chin:) But no more beard now as Baba used to shave regularly :( . No more playing & running around the street in heated June afternoons (pretending to be with Dad at his workplace ;) ) Evenings were again a trip to our fields and orchard. An open air roof top dinner with him and sleeping under the moon while listening to his lines from great Hindi & English writers and from Vedas & Granths. In between there is school, homework & tutor.

He was a lecturer for humanities at local inter college and a good orator with loud and impressive voice. He used to manage Dussehra Mela singlehandedly in his early days and used to play Ravana in Ramleela :) . He was a crowd puller and people used to ask for his speeches in functions, festivals & political rallies. He was famous as Pandit Ji /Ma’saab (Master

Sweetest Couple

Sa’ab). I had heard people saying “Pandit Ji kuch accha sa ho jaye” He wants me to be a good orator also and helped me in my school days with very good speeches. But with time i had converted into a book worm with cricket as the only extra curricular activity for next few years :(

For Amma, i was the sweetest boy in the world. I still remember her extra Rs. 100 note which he used to slip in my hand whenever i visited home for my monthly expenses ;) Chachu (Uncle) se Mudra (money) lene ke baad Amma ka bo 100 ka note bahut accha lagta tha :) She was not very educated but life has given her enormous knowledge and intelligence. Whenever i felt low, i used to call her up or place my head in her lap. Her loving voice or gentle touch used to evaporate all the stress & worries. She gave me the confidence to win any hurdle in life. She is the real symbol of strength & wisdom in my life. She never asked about my studies but always make sure that i need not to worry about anything else but studies. Her delicious home made sweets & Namkeens were always part of my return baggage. :)

As years passed way and i don’t realize when i have grown up in a well placed & grown up engineer. Thanks to Chachu, Our family has progressed into a well known entrepreneur & politically influenced family in the surroundings :) My younger brother has become youngest ‘Member of Town area” and start writing for Danik Jagran as local correspondent. We have moved on from the loss of my dad. Both of them were happy to see us growing leap & forth. After the start of my professional life, an air travel to Bangalore for them was among one of the first few thing i did. We visited Tirupati Bala Ji , Mysore & Ooty. Amma never visited any shrine after my dad passed way. I am not sure about Baba but for Amma this was her first :) & last :( tourist spot trip. This was the most satisfactory spending after the start of my career :) Mom & my younger sister accompanied them . Those were the most memorable 5 days of my life :) Icing on the cake was the company of Bhola Bhaiya & Kapil Sir during the whole stay. :)

I will always miss Amma & Baba!!

Cricket & Its Living God

Thanks ECB, Kevin and whole England cricket team for believing in India and its spirit!! After Mumbai incident the tour was in jeopardy and mood across the India was of sadness & anger. Cricket was last thing in mind. But you guys have come as a sign of positive thinking and belief in the India. England cricket team very well deserve the standing ovation in Chennai and India & its people will not forget your belief in us. This game wasn’t about win or loss but about sports spirit and a sign of never dying spirit of humanity.

This match and series is a proof of the difference in the basic ideology of India & Pakistan. We have England team playing in India just after the heinous & coward attack on its icon and very own culture. On the contrary, Pak has been trying hard to get cricket teams to play in his home grounds. This shows the huge difference in ideology of the two nations. Foundation of Indian & Indianness is truth, peace & harmony. In contrary Pakistan was built on the base of hatred, divide and lie. Jinnah lied to Muslims and to the world and couldn’t survived to make Pak a better state. After more than 60 years of independence, this weak foundation of Pakistan is in the mode of self destruction. We can only prey that this destruction will not touch us. Burning neighbor will certainly harm but we should be prepare and take necessary precaution to avoid this fire.

Coming back to cricket, it was one of the best test match i have ever seen. Sachin has again proved himself and with every inning, he is getting younger. The kind of animated celebration he has been doing don’t belong to typical & sober Sachin. He is a living God. Hard hitter Sehwag proved that why he is The Destroyer !! Nothing is impossible when he is around. He is capable of & has the confidence of making 500 in 4th inning :) Good luck to Yuvi. I wish & prey that he will not start flying and will have his head on his shoulders. He need to be responsible & sensible now.

After going through those 60 hours, i knew and have a feeling that India will never be the same and time will prove it.

Jai Hind!

Jai Bharat!!

Unexpectedly our landlady wished me. It was a pleasant surprise. She used her land line phone (Yeh, its true!!) It wasn’t that scary missed call after listening to our loud & unstopping noises ;) She didn’t utter a single word after seeing the mess in the kitchen & drawing room.People who had visited or lived in HN 80 knows the importance of it ;)

Love

Love is a noble act of self-giving, offering trust, faith, and loyalty. The more you love, the more you lose a part of yourself, yet you don’t become less of who you are; you end up being complete with your loved ones.

-From Mohit Mittal’s gTalk signature

you know somebody is on the way :D

Stand up as One!! As Indian !!

Its over !!
But its the beginning of a new fight with hatred, with enemies of India !!
Common man, intelligence, security infrastructure, politicians, bureaucrats and decision makers should take a lesson from this tragic and worst terrorist attack on India & its sovereignty.

I have been browsing through the News Channels & Web world. I am very sad & moved after watching the horror. We can’t imagine the trauma of the people who were trapped and lost their nearer & dearer.

I salute the martyrs from forces !! May their soul rest in peace !!
May God give strength to their families in this difficult time !!

Because of them you are reading this and i am writing this. I have seen people shaking hands & clicking pictures with commandos coming out of Nariman House. I have only seen it before with cricketers and celebrities. They deserve all the accolades & respect.
Ladies in front of Gateway of India, asking their children’s to touch the commando’s feet with the wish that they will be as strong grown up man as these commandos.
With all the disappointment from our politicians and bureaucrats, these man make you feel safe and make you believe in the forces.

There were cries in media & web world about war with Pakistan after these Mumbai attacks.
This will not help anybody but only help the enemies of peace.
If current elected Pak Govt has control over these extremist then there would not have been Matriot or Benajir death. There is a complex net of fanatic fundamentalist, army & intelligence. This hatred is the key to their very own survival. Only the strong & stable elected govt in Pak can help the world to end terror ghost. It will reduce the power of army & Islamic fundamentalist in Pak. This attack is to deestablize & weaken the relationship between elected democratic Pak Govt Pak & Indian Govt. To make things worse we have fanatics & fundamentalist this side of border who are only helping them with irrational & irresponsible comments. There were photos of martyrs all around with politician’s name written. Somebody ask them, if you want to salute & tribute their contribution then why to paste your & your party’s name on it.

Families of policeman did the right thing by denying money from People like Narendra Modi & Amar Singh. These are the people who ride the ladder of political success by spreading the politics of hatred.

Say it clear and say it loud!!

We are not looking up to these opportunist politician or weak politician like Shivraj Patil !! We need politicians like Sardar Patel, Indira Gandhi & Lal Bahadur Shastri.

We are the one who had executed the ONLY successful anti terror operation in the world against terrorism in Punjab This has happened with the help of locals & freedom to forces. We can implement the same across India. Make a special force or anti terror squad by recruiting the best among the best forces around India. We have “Jawans” who are ready to fight with courage, determination & bravery.

One can just imagine the unpreparedness of our security infrastructure. There is no NSG post or command in a city like Mumbai (the financial capital of India) which has been the main target of terrorism. With all due respect to them and their bravery, NSG arrived after around 8 hours of the first bullet fired. And the reasons coming in light are lazy bureaucrats, lack of political will & administrative delays. Will these guys take responsibility of this horrendous mistake?

This is the time we should Stand up as One!! As Indian !!

November 29, 2008 Posted by Gaurav S | Islamic Terrorism, Terrorism | , , , , , , , , | 4 Comments

What are we waiting for?

What will be the latest excuse by our home minster for his incapability?
What will be the statement from our PM for his weakness in handling the terrorist?
Congress is worried about his vote bank in one particular community so they will not act even though somebody will come and hit the very root of our identity.
What worse than an attack at the very backbone of the financial capital of a nation who dream of becoming a financial super power.
Who will come to do business in a country where the 5 star hotel is attacked and taken hostage?
Are we living in Pakistan or Afghanistan where a loaded truck of RD-X blown up a hotel?
Will this picture of a burning 5 star hotel invite investor & foreigners to India?

What are you thinking Mr. Singh?

Are you waiting for ur ally Mr. Amar Singh to announce 10 Lakh to the family member of terrorist killed in today’s blast?

Are you going to provide legal aid to terrorist suspects?

Are you planning to place an commission to investigate if Mr. Karkare was killed by ATS itself and terrorist were innocent?
Shame on these Indian Politicians!!

This attack should be taken as a learning to have a strong & full majority govt in center.
Choose any Mulayam, Mayawati, Gowda and Karunanidhi etc for your state but but choose a majority govt in Center
At least don’t have a PM who can’t do a single thing without taking order from the Lady In charge.
I respect him for all his work in academics & finance but for sure he has not proved himself as good PM.
Don’t give excuses Mr. PM !!
You have failed to instill feeling of safety & has already loose the confidence of people.
Do we remember Indira of 71 or 84?

We have terrorist having good time in our jails, having food on the expanse of tax payers money (Few of them died today in an another terrorist attack) One fine day, few other terrorist will hijack a plane or kidnap daughter of a minister to ensure their friends safe release. Now he is free to plan & execute more attacks. Hopeless !!
I don’t know law but can somebody please explain why to keep these terrorist in prison for years?

Ground reality of Indian Politics is that end of the day a villager in the remote village or small town will vote for a regional party or politician. For him its about more electricity and subsidy on Agricultural Products, security for his caste & community from goons & rowdy guys of other caste. A decent job for his child in the nearby bank or school.
He will go and vote for TRS to get a separate Telegana State or to a Mayawati to more reservation.
Whats happening in Mumbai or Delhi or anywhere else doesn’t matter to him.

Relatives of people killed & injured in these blast or people who are reading or writing these blogs don’t go & vote.
Who is responsible for this failure & irresponsibility by Indian State?
WE !! The intellectuals & literate who are writing articles in newspapers & web sites, discussing these issues in a TV debate or breakfast table but don’t have courage to go in to the fields or motivate people for unity.
What next?

I am sorry for innocent people who killed in these blast.
May their soul rest in peace and God will give strength to their families to face the loss!!
