SRMS Alumni Community Initiative !

Hi All,

I am writing you this mail on behalf of all the SRMS Alumni scattered around the globe.

First of all, i want to clarify that this is NOT  a mail from SRMS Management.

Purpose

=========

Today, we all SRMSians have been dispersed around the globe from a tiny town Bareilly. Now, its time to get integrated and join together on a common platform which will help us to bring SRMSians together & help each other to grow & prosper. We need your suggestion, guidance, help for building an Active SRMS Alumni Community.

This is a long way to go and we need contribution from each and everyone of you.

We already have a team of 10-12 alumnus (and looking for as many as we can get on board, to form a core SRMS Alumni Committee) . People from multiple batches & streams actively working on possible solutions, ideas & platform to build an active SRMS Alumni Community. From last few weeks we have been brainstorming and bringing up an idea of “ALUMNI Association” for SRMSians with a concept of “Always remain connected”. There were lot of discussions & ideas poured in from everybody.

Please find the following details with the resulting ideas:

1. SRMS Alumni Committee / Association

• Building a core Alumni Committee / Association having members from each batch & stream.
• Appoint multiple co-coordinators from these core members to facilitate main functions & initiatives at International, National & Zonal level. For example; alumni level event organizer at city level, Alumni Meets, Interface between college & Alumni etc

2. SRMS Alumni Web Site:

• There is already a web page at college web site http://122.252.234.221/srmscet/alumni.aspx but it doesn’t work & lack functionality.
• We already have many Orkut/Facebook/Yahoo Groups for interaction but without much active & real time interaction.
• Hence, we have come up an idea to built independent Web Site exclusively for SRMS Alumni.
• We are already working in this direction and need more People & Resources to be part of this initiative & making it a success.
• Till the time site comes up (Beta version should be out in June first week), we can have everybody on board at Yahoo/Orkut/Facebook Groups listed below.

3. Objective of the current initiative:

Alumni chapter’s important contribution is always getting people placed or getting them jobs & help each

other grow. BUT the most important part is to have a sense of camaraderie, frequent Alumni Meets & re-

living the past moments. Once we have enough interested people on board we can plan few alumni meets in

different cities.

We are already planning one in Bangalore & other in Delhi. Interested people please drop us your contact

details. Please devote some of your precious time to drive this effort & be part of it.

We are looking forward to have at least one active representative (passionate about this idea) from

each batch in the core alumni committee.

Meanwhile, we are trying our best to let every SRMS Alumni about this alumni initiative. Hence, this e-mail.

This will help us to get as much ideas, contribution and association as possible from our fellow experienced SRMSians.

We request all of you (as your fellow college mates)

is not to consider this as just a email to be forwarded BUT please join the initiative and propagate it to as much as SRMSians as you can (including MBA, B.Pharma folks).

We need all of you to make it a great success story, so that we can “always remain connected”.

We are looking forward for your positive response . This initiative can only be successful with your active support.
